Terms.
How the archive is published, attributed and may be cited.
General
The Egypt Guide is a non-commercial editorial archive. The material is provided for orientation and slow reading only. Use of the site signifies acceptance of these terms.
Attribution & reuse
All text on egypt-guide.lat is the original editorial work of Iskandar Hafez. Reproduction of entries in commercial publications requires prior written permission. Citation in academic work or in non-commercial blog writing is unrestricted, provided a direct link to the source entry is supplied.
Images
Images are drawn from open archives (Wikimedia Commons, public-domain institutional collections) or are taken by the editor. Licensing is acknowledged in captions where applicable. Rights holders who consider an image misattributed are asked to write — substitution is immediate.
Accuracy of information
Opening hours, ticket prices and site arrangements are correct on the date of verification, recorded on each entry. Egyptian heritage infrastructure is in active reorganisation, particularly around the Grand Egyptian Museum and the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization; readers planning a visit are encouraged to confirm against the Supreme Council of Antiquities or the institution's own bulletin shortly before travel.
No transactional services
The Egypt Guide does not sell tickets, passes, tours or accommodation, and does not partner with any third-party booking platform. All references to visiting arrangements are informational. Readers should plan their visits through whichever official channel they prefer.
Limitation of liability
The editor accepts no responsibility for travel decisions made on the basis of published material. Independent travel to remote sites and to the Western Desert oases requires reasonable preparation and accurate weather information.
Amendments
The editor reserves the right to revise these terms without notice. The current version is at all times the one shown on this page.
